Job description

MATTA is an independent, forward-thinking, digital-first creative agency for sport. Our campaigns have won multiple awards, and we have been Agency of the Year several times over.

We build digital and social strategies, design and position brands, hatch big ideas, create advertising campaigns, produce content, and we have a design, video, and edit studio in-house. We’re based in London, but the majority of the work we do is global.

We are seeking a dynamic, charismatic Business Development Manager to build fruitful relationships, and generate and convert viable new business leads with brands and other organisations within the sport and lifestyle industry.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, and working closely with our Director of Women’s Sport, this is an opportunity for an intelligent, driven and energetic sales professional to play an impactful role at a pivotal juncture for our highly regarded agency.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Research and define our target customer segments

  • Build and execute a fully functioning and high performing lead generation infrastructure

  • Evolve our marketing strategy so that MATTA is perfectly positioned and our work is showcased in the right places

  • Develop efficient processes around pipeline management and other core sales functions

  • Represent MATTA at conferences, awards ceremonies and networking events

  • Work closely with the Brand team to grow existing accounts

  • Enter MATTA for industry awards that will continue to raise our profile

  • Create materials for new business pitches and proposals, working with MATTA internal teams as necessary

  • Keep abreast of digital advertising opportunities that drive awareness of MATTA and generate inbound business development queries

  • Research relevant industry events for us to take part in, which will meaningfully raise our profile and broaden our industry connections
